Hello - I'm Richard O'Brien, Director of nzbizbuysell
Passionate about business, in January 2000 I left the relative safety of a corporate environment to launch nzbizbuysell - an online advertising and resource centre for the buying and selling of New Zealand businesses.
Having started, owned and co-owned two small businesses previously,
I was excited about the prospect of developing a leading advertising and information site that specialised in helping New Zealand business buyers and sellers. It had to be easy to use, intuitive and get results. Above all it had to add value to the process, otherwise there would be no business!

Having a background in production engineering and marketing has been key in helping develop a highly functional site that goes the distance and gets results. It has become a very successful business platform. Our people and how we deliver our service has been paramount, which has lead to the considerable number of referrals we receive and the excellent feedback we get from clients. Word of mouth has been great - thanks to you, our users.
From our very first paying customer in year one, nzbizbuysell has grown to over 1,800 listings online, with around 40,000 site visitors a month making it New Zealand's busiest Business for Sale website.
